Jorf El Melha to (almost) Fès

We wake up and the service area is already bustling with vans, minibuses, and luxury coaches full of tourists. We get out, still a little sleepy and with our bikes still to load, and I realize that we immediately become the most interesting people there. Americans, Germans, and even a New Zealander approach us to ask about our bikes, our setup, our trip, etc. We set off on the RN13 national road but, seeing that we could cut the journey a little, we decide to turn left and take another road. We cycle a short distance through the fields and then finally take the road we had chosen. The decision seems perfect: the road has been recently paved and is in excellent condition!

Ci svegliamo e nell'area di servizio con il via vai di furgoni, minibus e bus extra lusso pieni di turisti gia' iniziato. Scendiamo ancora un po' addormentati e con le bici ancora da caricare, e mi rendo conto che diventiamo subito i piu' interessanti soggetti presenti in loco. Americani, Tedeschi e persino un Neozelandese mi approcciano per chiederci delle bici, del setup, del viaggio, etc. Partiamo sulla nazionale RN13 ma, vedendo che si poteva tagliare un po' di strada decidiamo di uscire a sinistra e di andare a prendere un'altra strada. Facciamo un piccolo pezzo nei campi per poi prendere finalmente la strada che avevamo scelto. La decisione sembra perfetta: la strada e' asfaltata di recente ed e' in ottimo stato!
